Jan 06, Kathmandu- A closed-door debate has begun today on behalf of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane in the Surya Darshan Cooperative fraud case in Pokhara.
A closed-door hearing is underway in the bench of Kaski District Court Judge Nitij Rai. Advocate Sobita Gautam, who is also a member of parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has reached the Kaski court to argue in favor of Rabi. At least a dozen legal practitioners, including Sobita, are arguing in favor of Rabi.
Earlier, in the same case, former DIG Chhabi Raj Joshi and Leela Pachai have already filed their petitions, while the petitions of Krishna Bahadur Gurung, his daughter, former Gandaki MP Mina Gurung, Anita Gurung, and Ram Bahadur Khanal, who were arrested in the same case, are yet to be filed.
