Earthquake impact: 1 injured after jumping from rooftop in Syuchatar, 11 students unconscious in Bara

Jan 07, Kathmandu- Although there were no casualties in Nepal due to the earthquake that struck China on Tuesday morning, some physical structures were damaged.

A 7 magnitude earthquake struck Tibet's Dingri County at 6:50 am on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the earthquake has caused damage to the police post building located in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-4, Sindhupalchowk. Similarly, the earthquake has damaged a cowshed in Ramechhap.

The ministry has informed that some uninhabited houses in Okhaldhunga and Solukhumbu have been damaged. Meanwhile, one person was injured after jumping from the roof of a house in Syuchatar, Kathmandu. He is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Similarly, the ministry said that 11 students studying in grades 7 and 8 of Trichandra Secondary School in Devkota, Ward No. 1, Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City, Bara, fainted. After treatment, their health condition has returned to normal and they have been discharged.
