School Accountant And Member Caught With Rs. 65,000 Bribe

Jan 09, Kathmandu- Suresh Gupta, Assistant (Accountant) of Rajnarayan Secondary School located in Ward No. 5, Palhinandan Rural Municipality, Nawalparasi (B.S. West), and Surendra Prasad Kahar, a member of the School Management Committee, have been arrested with bribe money.

A complaint was filed that they were demanding bribes from service recipients to pay the final bill after the construction of the building was completed.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has informed that a team deployed from its office in Butwal arrested Suresh and Surendra on Wednesday while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 65,000 from a service recipient.

Further investigation is underway against the arrested persons, informed the Commission's spokesperson Narahari Ghimire.
