Jay Trophy: Bagmati all out for 200 against Army, Nandan Yadav hits century

Jan 09, Kathmandu- Bagmati Province were bowled out for 200 runs in the first innings against Tribhuvan Army Club as part of the Jay Trophy Men's Elite Cup two-day cricket tournament. Bagmati were bowled out for 200 runs in 50 overs. Along with this, the Army has got a lead of 76 runs.

Nandan Yadav played a half-century for Bagmati in the first innings. He played an innings of 51 runs off 80 balls with two sixes and one four.

Similarly, Shubha Kanshakar scored 34, Uttam Thapa 28, Rit Gautam 21, Bipin Acharya 20, Pratish GC and Ashutosh Ghiraiya scored 11/11 and captain Sandeep Lamichhane scored 10 runs.

For Army, Akash Chand took three wickets, while Sompal Kami, Shahab Alam and Pawan Karki took two wickets each. Earlier, Army, who were invited to bat after losing the toss at the Ramjanki Multipurpose Ground in Janakpur, declared their first innings at 276/5.

Imran Sheikh and Bashir Ahmed played half-century innings for them. Imran scored 72 runs off 104 balls with the help of 11 fours and Bashir scored an unbeaten 53 runs off 64 balls with 8 fours.

Similarly, Trit Raj Das scored 44 runs, Kushal Malla scored 35 runs and Bhim Sarki scored 32 runs. For Bagmati, Bipin Acharya took three wickets and captain Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets. Both Army and Bagmati drew their first matches. In the first match, Army drew with Police and Bagmati drew with Madhesh Pradesh.
