Jan 10, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala is currently on a visit to the UK.
He has gone to the UK at the invitation of British Minister of State for Asia Catherine West and Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce Gareth Thomas. Speaking to media persons in the UK, he said that he has come to the UK as a Nepali MP and wants to further strengthen relations with the parliament here. He said that while staying in the UK, he will not only learn about the issues of Nepali Congress cadres but also about the problems of Nepalese in the diaspora.
He urges Nepalese living in the UK to return to Nepal and invest in business. He is scheduled to address a special program inside the Parliament House on 13 January 2025. It is said that the program will be attended by the UK's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce, and British MPs.
Koirala will interact with leaders of the Nepali community in the UK at a program organized by the Nepali Embassy in London today. During his stay in the UK, Koirala will meet the British Speaker of the House of Commons, participate in the All-Party Parliamentary Group meeting and participate in various important programs organized by other Nepali communities. He is scheduled to return to Nepal on January 16, today.
