Second Edition Of Thaha Film Festival Begins On Paush 28

Jan 10, Kathmandu- The second edition of the Thaha Film Festival in Makawanpur is set to begin from Paush 28. The festival will run until Magh 1.

The festival will be held in Bajrabarahi, Thaha Municipality. The festival, which is being organized with the slogan 'Films for Tourism', aims to connect domestic tourism through films.

The festival will screen 20 films, including short films, feature films and documentaries, according to the organizers. According to the organizing organization, Thaha Kala Kendra, 20 films have been selected from the 46 films submitted for the festival.

The festival has featured films such as ‘Pakheta’, ‘Tulki’, ‘Bato’, ‘Lakhe’, ‘Satidevi’ and ‘Modibeni’. The short films include ‘Belly’, ‘Antawarta’, ‘The Rope of Hope’, ‘Nirdesh’, ‘Dui Saye Rupaiya’ and ‘Khil’. Similarly, the documentary films include ‘Hiyu Chituwa’ and ‘Girls Rewriting Destiny’. This year, the festival will discuss contemporary issues such as the review and diversity of Nepali films.

Thaha Municipality, a well-known tourist destination and culturally rich, is a preferred location for film shooting. The festival is organized with the aim of increasing domestic tourism with the aim of showing films to the audience of Thaha Municipality.
