Army Declared Their Innings At 225 Runs

Jan 11, Kathmandu- Tribhuvan Army Club declared their innings after scoring 225 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the ongoing Jay Trophy Elite Cup match on Saturday. The Army, which lost the toss against Madhesh Pradesh in Birgunj, batted first and played 59.3 overs.

Bashir Ahmed and Bhim Sarki scored half-centuries for Army. Bashir scored 67 runs off 98 balls and Bhim scored 52 runs off 93 balls. Similarly, the opener Imran Shaikh scored 42 runs off 75 balls. Army's other batters could not score runs in double figures.

For Madhesh Pradesh, spinner Ranjit Kumar took five wickets. He gave away 44 runs including 3 maidens in 16.3 overs. Similarly, Pradeep Paswan took 2 wickets while Abhishek Tiwari and Harishankar Shah took one wicket each.

Now Madhesh will begin its first innings.
