Kangana In Controversy Again, Possibility Of Being Arrested

Jan 11, Kathmandu- BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has once again landed in controversy. On August 26, 2024, during the farmers' movement against the three agricultural laws of the central government, Kangana had made some allegations against the farmers.

Agra lawyer Ramashankar Sharma had filed a petition in the MP-MLA court, saying that her statement insulted the farmers. The court issued notices to Kangana and ordered her to give a statement on 17 September, 30 October and 13 December 2024 respectively. However, Kangana or her lawyer have not yet filed any response in the court.

During the hearing on January 9, 2025, the court directed the New Agra Police Station to record the statements of witnesses and submit a report within 20 days. The police will submit the report to the court on January 29. If Kangana does not respond within this period, the court will pronounce its verdict on February 8. It is said that bailable and non-bailable warrants may also be issued against her.

Lawyer Ramashankar Sharma says that he is the son of a farmer and Kangana's statement is very insulting. He said that Kangana has tried to defame the farmers' movement and action will be taken in court.

Rahul Gandhi had also raised this issue in Parliament and called it a serious issue. Now all eyes are on the court's verdict.

This is not the first time Kangana has been embroiled in controversy. Kangana is always in the news for one reason or another.
