Low Attendance Of Students In Schools Of Udayapur Due To Increasing Cold Weather

Jan 11, Kathmandu- With the onset of a cold wave that has been spreading for four days, student attendance in schools in Udayapur has been decreasing.

The cold weather has led to a decline in student attendance in various schools, especially basic level schools. School teachers say that students in the lower grades of government and private schools in Triyuga and Chaudandinadhi municipalities in the district have been affected by the cold weather and are showing less attendance.

For the past four days, normal life has been affected by the cold wave in the Terai areas of Udayapur, Triyuga, Belka, Chaudandigadhi and Katari municipalities. As the extreme cold continues to increase, even the elderly in the urban areas are forced to stay indoors by keeping warm by the fire.
