Jan 12, Kathmandu- Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has rejected the horror-comedy film 'Chamunda'.

Director Dinesh Vijan and producer Amar Kaushik wanted to bring Shah Rukh Khan into the horror-comedy universe. According to Indian media outlet Bollywood Hungama, Shah Rukh Khan does not want to join an already established universe.

Shah Rukh has said that he will come up with some new films for himself. After Shah Rukh rejected the film, the production team is looking for another actor. Actress Alia Bhatt will play the lead role in the film. This film will be released in 2026.

Director Dinesh Vijan started the horror-comedy universe in 2018. His first horror-comedy film was 'Stree'. It did well at the box office. After this, films like 'Bhediya', 'Munjya' and 'Stree 2' have been produced under the horror-comedy universe.
