Jan 14, Kathmandu- Today (Tuesday), Maghar, Tharu and other communities across the country are celebrating the Maghe Sankranti festival. Magh 1 is also known as Makar Sankranti as it is the Sankranti when the Sun enters Capricorn from Sagittarius.

Meanwhile, people from the Magar community have gathered in various places in the capital Kathmandu today to celebrate Maghe Sankranti.

They gathered at Bhrikutimandap and reached Tudinkhel via Bhadrakali, Shaheed Gate, and New Road. People from other communities also participated in the rally.
