Jan 16, Kathmandu- Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has been stabbed.

He was stabbed in six places at his Bandra home at 2:30 am last night. According to Indian media outlet Hindustan Times, Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 3:30 am in a critical condition. He is currently undergoing treatment.

Saif's wife Kareena Kapoor Khan was not at home when he was stabbed. Kareena had gone to a dinner party with her sister Karisma.

Kareena posted a story on her Instagram. In the caption of the story, she wrote, 'Girls Night In.'

Karisma Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were present at the party with him. Saif was at home with his aides and two sons.

After the suspect entered the house, Saif's aide tried to stop him. It is said that Saif himself tried to stop the suspect, but he stabbed him and fled. During this, Saif and the suspect had a brief scuffle.

It is not yet clear who the person was. Bandra police and Kareena's family have said that the person may have entered the house with the intention of committing a burglary.

The Mumbai Crime Branch is investigating the incident in parallel.
