Jay Trophy Has Won By The Police

Jan 16, Kathmandu- The Departmental Club, Police has won the Jay Trophy cricket title.

On the third day of the three-day final, on Thursday, the Army, chasing a target of 103 runs set by the Police, was all out for 74 runs.

In the second innings, Sagar Dhakal took 6 wickets in the Police's victory, while Lalit Rajbanshi took 4 wickets to bowl out the Army in 29.2 overs and secure a 28-run victory.

Before that, Police had scored 133 runs in the first innings and 139 runs in the second innings.

Army, on the other hand, scored 170 runs in the first innings and was given a modest target of 103 runs to win in the second innings.

However, while chasing the target, other players failed to perform well for the Army, except for Imran Sheikh who scored 28 runs. Binod Bhandari and Sompal Kami scored 11 runs each as additional double scores.
