Jan 17, Kathmandu- A Nepali has been rescued from Thailand and repatriated. He was returned to Nepal on Friday (today), according to the Nepali Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand.
According to the Nepali Embassy, he had reached the Golden Triangle of Laos under the lure of lucrative employment opportunities. There, he was forced to work illegally. He then fled from there and entered Thailand. After entering Thailand, he was returned to Nepal with the help of Thai government agencies.
"The embassy requests all concerned to go for foreign employment only after obtaining a labor permit as per the criteria set by the Nepalese government and not to come to any country, including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand, for foreign employment in order to earn a lot of money quickly and illegally under the influence of someone's temptation," the Nepali embassy said in a statement.
