U-19 Women's World Cup: Nepal aims to create history

Jan 17, Kathmandu- The Nepali women's team, which has been making history one after another in the women's age group in recent times, is taking to the field from Saturday in an attempt to add another brick to its achievement.

As Nepal kicks off its World Cup campaign against Bangladesh in the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup, which is set to begin in Malaysia, it is natural for the team to aim to make history once again.

The match, which will begin at 12:15 pm Nepali time, will see Nepal competing in any age group for the first time in the history of women's cricket. Although Nepal, which started women's cricket in 2007, has competed in various other events, this is the first time it has had a chance in the World Cup.

Nepal reached the World Cup by finishing top of the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup held in the UAE last year, beating the UAE in a double round-robin league.
