North-South Koshi Highway Blocked By Dry Landslide Reopens

Jan 18, Kathmandu- The Khandbari-Kimathanka road section in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-3, Sembung, Sankhuwasabha, under the North-South Koshi Road, which was blocked by a dry landslide, has been reopened after a day. The Khandbari-Kimathanka road located in Bhotkhola-3, Sembung Danda has been reopened after a day, said Naresh Jirel, Information Officer at the North-South Road Office.

A dry landslide that occurred on Friday afternoon blocked more than 20 meters of unpaved road. The road section, which was blocked by a dry landslide with large stones falling from above the road, has been reopened this morning, said Jirel, information officer at the North-South Road Office.

Vehicles traveling to and from Bhotkhola Rural Municipality were stopped after the road was blocked. The Bhotkhola road section of the Koshi Highway is blocked from time to time due to continuous dry landslides in the area.
