CAN Takes Action Against Sandeep Lamichhane

Jan 21, Kathmandu- The Cricket Association of Nepal has taken action against former Nepali national cricket team captain and leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane.

CAN has decided to suspend him for one match for violating discipline, said CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama.

Lama said that CAN took action after he made comments against the referee on social media during the Jay Trophy.

Similarly, CAN has also asked him for an explanation.

The agreement between CAN and the players includes a provision that comments against officials related to CAN on social media are not allowed. CAN has concluded that Sandeep violated the same.

Sandeep captained the Bagmati Province team in the Jay Trophy. His team did not reach the final. Nepal Police Club won the title by defeating Army Club.
