Pathibhara Clash Injured Taken To Kathmandu

Jan 27, Kathmandu- Those injured in the clash that took place in the Pathibhara temple area of ​​Taplejung have been taken to Kathmandu for further treatment on Sunday. 26 people, including protesters and security personnel, were injured in the clash.

Three of the injured were brought to Nobel Teaching Hospital in Biratnagar on Sunday morning. They were sent to Kathmandu via a Nepal Army sky truck for further treatment.

According to Morang Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav, Yam Bahadur Limbu of Myanglung Municipality-9 in Tehrathum, Sugan Lawati of Miklajung Rural Municipality-5 in Panchthar, and Dharma Palungwa of Phungling Municipality-8 in Taplejung have been sent to Kathmandu for further processing.

Among the injured, Sagun and Yam Bahadur were shot. Sagun was found shot in the chest and Yam Bahadur in the thigh, Yadav said. According to him, Dharma's collar bone has been broken.

Clashes broke out twice on Saturday between pro-identity activists and police in the Pathibhara area of ​​Baludanda, Phungling Municipality-11, Taplejung. Five protesters and 21 security personnel were injured in the clashes, according to the Provincial Police Office, Biratnagar.

Clashes broke out between the 'No Cable Car' group of pro-identity activists and the police around 4 pm and 6 pm on Saturday, about 1 km above Kaflepati in the Pathibhara area.

The police, who had brought the situation under control by firing tear gas in the afternoon, opened fire in the evening. After the Pathibhara Mata Cable Car Company started the construction process of the cable car in the Pathibhara area, the supporters of the identity have been protesting by forming committees such as Mukkumalung Sangharsh Samiti and Cable Car Abolition Sangharsh Samiti.
