Jan 27, Kathmandu- The sequel to the all-time blockbuster film ‘Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi’ of Nepali cinema has been announced.

Producer Binod Paudel announced the production of the sequel at the film success event organized in Kathmandu. Along with this film, he also informed that the film ‘Roll No. 1’, which had already been announced through a poster, will be released in 2082 BS.

Of the two films to be made under the banner of 7seas Cinema, ‘Roll No. 1’ will be directed by John Yonjan. However, the director of ‘Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi 2’ was not informed. The director’s name was not mentioned in the announcement poster of the film unveiled at the event. Only the name of Binod Paudel is mentioned in the poster as the producer.

Not only the director, but also no information was given about the cast. It is said that Prakash Saput and Anjana Baraili are likely to reprise their roles in the film 'Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi 2', but no official information has been received. 'Purna Bahadur Ko Sarangi 2' will be released in 2083 BS.

The global gross collection report was also made public at the event. According to which, the film has earned around Rs 480 million in Nepal and Rs 270 million abroad. That is, the film has earned Rs 750 million worldwide, it was informed during the event. This is the highest number ever achieved by a Nepali film in Nepal and abroad.

At the event, envelopes with checks (bonuses) were also distributed to the film's director, actors, and technicians, presenting letters of appreciation. However, the bonus amount was not disclosed. The film's lead actor, Bijay Baral, had taken a salary of Rs 500 thousand for the film and reduced it to a 5 percent profit share.
