Hobart Hurricanes Won The First Big Bash League Title

Jan 27, Kathmandu- Hobart Hurricanes have won the Australian Big Bash League title.

The Hurricanes defeated Sydney Thunder by 7 wickets in the final match held on Monday to win the Big Bash League title for the first time.

Chasing a target of 183 runs set by Sydney, the Hurricanes achieved the target in 14.1 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. 23-year-old Mitchell Owen played a century of 108 runs in the Hurricanes' victory.

This is the first time the Hurricanes have won the title in the 14-season Big Bash League. The Perth Scorchers have won the Big Bash League title the most times, five times. Similarly, the Sydney Sixers have won the Big Bash League title three times and the Brisbane Heat have won it twice.

Similarly, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Thunders have won the title once each.

Similarly, Melbourne Stars, the only team playing in the Big Bash League, has not won the title yet.
