Jan 30, Kathmandu- Nepal has lost to the Netherlands. Nepal was defeated by 20 runs in the first match of the women's triangular international T20 series.

The Netherlands won by 20 runs against Nepal in the match held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

Chasing the target of 158 runs set by the Netherlands, Nepal managed to score only 137 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of 20 overs. 

For Nepal, opener Sita Rana Magar top-scored with 28 runs in 45 balls, including 3 fours, while Wita Joshi scored 27 runs in 17 balls, including a four and two sixes, while Pooja Mahato contributed 24 runs in 14 balls, including two fours and a six. The other players, however, failed to reach double figures.

Meanwhile, for the Netherlands, Caroline de Lange and Eva Lynch took two wickets each, while Iris Zwilling and Frederique Overdijk took one wicket each. With this win, the Netherlands has added 2 points to the points table.
