Jan 30, Kathmandu- Police have seized around 210 kg of narcotic marijuana from Pathlaiya in Bara.

Police said they seized illegal marijuana from Pathlaiya, Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-1, on Wednesday night.

While police deployed from the Nepal Police Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office, Pathlaiya, were checking a pickup truck (Bagmati Province 03-001 Cha 3227) coming from Amlekhgunj towards Pathlaiya, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled.

Police said that after the driver fled, a search of the vehicle revealed and seized the amount of marijuana hidden inside a wooden box bed. 

The police are currently searching for the absconding driver and are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
