Jan 31, Kathmandu- Nepal-India Color Festival is set to be held in Nepal. The Nepal Academy of Music and Drama gave information about various aspects of the festival during a program in the capital on Thursday.
The festival, which is being organized by Pratishtha in collaboration with the National Theatre School, India, will begin on Magh 23 and will continue until Magh 30. The festival will feature six plays from Nepal and India, which will be performed at the auditorium of the National Theatre School, Pratishtha Chancellor Nisha Sharma informed at the information program.
According to Sharma, three plays from Nepal and three from India will be staged. The festival is currently ongoing in India. Sharma believes that this is the first time that a color festival has been organized in collaboration with India and Nepal.
The festival will feature the play 'Gachhami' written by S.K. Lal and directed by Sunil Pokharel on Magh 23. The play 'Katha Kasturi' written by Nayanraj Pandey and directed by Diya Maskey on Magh 24, and the play 'Jun Parikatha Matar Hoin' written by coordinator Guragain and directed by Namrata KC on Magh 27.
Similarly, the Indian play 'Mai Ri Mai Ka Se Kahun' written by Vijayadan Detha and directed by Ajay Kumar will be screened on Magh 12, the Indian play 'Babuji' written by Mithileshwar and directed by Rajesh Singh on Magh 13, and the Indian play 'Taj Mahalka Tender' written by Ajay Shukla and directed by Chittaranjan Tripathi on Magh 14.
Vice Chancellor Shambhu Rai and other dignitaries participated in the program.
