Feb 04, Kathmandu- Nepal U-19 cricket team captain Pooja Mahato has been named in the ICC U-19 World Cup 'Team of the Tournament'.
Pooja is ranked sixth in the top 12 players of the tournament released by the ICC on Monday. Pooja is the only player from the country to be included in the best team of the tournament.
Pooja led Nepal in the tournament, taking 70 runs with the bat and nine wickets with the bowling. Pooja is seventh in the list of highest wicket-takers and 17th in the batting.
Nepal, which was in Group 'D' of the tournament, had lost all its group stage matches. However, Nepal had won by seven wickets against Malaysia in the play-off for 13th to 16th place.
