Feb 07, Kathmandu-The Kathmandu District Court has sought bail from those who assaulted senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi.
On Friday, the bench of Judge Gayatri Prasad Regmi sought bail from three of the defendants, said Information Officer Deepak Kumar Shrestha.
A case has been filed against Lalit Kumar KC, 48, a resident of Dolakha and a resident of Tikathali, Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, Lalitpur, Mahananda Jaisi, 32, a resident of Tokha, Kathmandu, from Humla, and Sital Rai alias Sitadevi Rai, 55, a resident of Baneshwor and a resident of Jhapa, for the crime of murder.
The court has sought bail of Rs 100,000 each from all three of them.
Information Officer Shrestha said that KC and Rai have already posted bail. Mahananda Jaisi has been sent to jail after failing to post bail.
On Magh 2, at 4:45 pm, advocate Tripathi was attacked as he was leaving the Kathmandu District Court. He had argued on behalf of the plaintiff in the case of the Swarnalakshmi Savings and Loan Cooperative.
Tripathi was attacked as he was leaving after the argument. He had filed a complaint against them for the crime of murder.
