Feb 08, Kathmandu- The Shine Resunga National 10,000 Meter Run Competition is scheduled to be held on 11th Falgun. Shine Resunga Development Bank organized a press conference in Butwal, Rupandehi on Saturday to inform about the competition.

The competition, which is being organized with the slogan 'Run to Shine', will be held in Butwal, Rupandehi. The competition, which will feature national-level runners, includes three categories: women/men open, local, and over 50 years. The prize money for the competition is Rs 500,000.

The male/female winner of the open category will receive one hundred thousand rupees. The amount set aside for the 10-kilometre category of athletics is also the highest prize money in Nepal.

The runner-up in the open category will receive Rs 40,000, the third runner will receive Rs 20,000, the fourth runner will receive Rs 15,000, and the fifth runner will receive Rs 10,000. The winner of the local and over 50 category will receive Rs 15,000, the second runner will receive Rs 10,000, the third runner will receive Rs 5,000, and the fourth runner will receive Rs 2,500, along with a medal and certificate.

Interested participants can register for free by visiting the Shine Resunga Development Bank website. The organizers have stated that arrangements have been made to physically register by filling out a form at the bank's central office in Butwal.

The race, which will start from the bank's central office in Kalikanagar, Butwal, will reach Manigram Chowk and end at the central office premises. The competition, which will be conducted with the approval of the National Sports Council and the Nepal Athletics Association, will be operated and managed by Kakhara Events.
