Feb 10, Kathmandu- A police constable was beaten up in Manangkot, a tourist spot located in Byas Municipality-5. Police officer Sunil Karki, who was working at the temporary police post in Manangkot, was beaten up.

Police have taken four youths involved in the assault incident into custody. According to the police, those arrested are Roshan Gurung, James Gurung, Sujal Gurung and Sudeep BK, resident of Byas-4. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashok Thapa informed that the police deployed for security were assaulted after a clash in Manungkot at around 2 am on Saturday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Thapa said that an investigation has been initiated against them by extending their remand for five days in the indecent behaviour case on Sunday.
