Feb 11, Kathmandu- A petition has been filed in the High Court demanding that Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who is involved in the cooperative fraud case, be kept in detention. A petition has been filed in the Patan High Court demanding that chairman Lamichhane and other individuals be kept in detention.
The government has filed a petition against the Kathmandu District Court's order to release Speaker Lamichhane on bail, claiming that it is flawed.
Shankar Khatri, Chief of the High Government Attorney's Office and Associate Attorney, informed that a petition has been registered in the Patan High Court. "A petition has been registered in the court on Monday demanding that the district court's order be quashed and that he be kept in custody," he said.
President Lamichhane had been ordered to be released on bail by the Kaski, Kathmandu, Rupandehi and Chitwan district courts. Lamichhane has been released after paying the bail amount set by all the courts.
