Feb 11, Kathmandu- The committee has suggested that the information system to be developed under the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security be designed keeping in mind long-term needs.
The committee formed under the coordination of Danduraj Ghimire, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Labor, has recommended that it be made available for the next 20 years.
A 10-member committee was formed under the coordination of Ghimire to study the integration of information systems operated under the ministry and provide services. The committee has suggested that service procurement and human resource management should be done keeping in mind the long-term needs.
It has been stated that the services of all the agencies under the ministry should be integrated and prepared in a way that they can be linked to the server. It has also been suggested that all agencies should be written to in a way that they can be integrated into the ministry's server and citizen app in the future when purchasing or building applications and servers under the ministry.
It has also been suggested that the Integrated Labor and Employment Information System be improved in the current context, approved by the Ministry, and kept as a policy document of the Ministry.
Similarly, the committee has also recommended that the necessary human resources related to computers and information technology be arranged as the Ministry and its subordinate bodies are very limited. It has also been suggested to create a work environment that can use the records and data of migrant workers in the system of the Remi project.
It has also been said that the role of the Employment Service Center should be identified in the system to be built by considering the future of the Employment Service Center.
The ministry has also stated that the TOR should be approved and the project should be written to develop hardware and software in accordance with prevailing policies, rules and laws by building the overall system framework prepared by Remi project.
The committee has also suggested that a circular be issued to build and operate all applications operated under the ministry in a way that allows data exchange with the current system of the ministry and possible systems in the future.
