Feb 15, Kathmandu- CPN-UML MP Raghuji Panta has emphasized that amendments are necessary to save the constitution.
Speaking at a program organized in Lalitpur today, he said that no constitution made in Nepal has survived without amendments. Stating that the constitution cannot be amended as desired by the Congress and UML, he said that dissatisfaction with the constitution is now being expressed. He said that now that two-thirds of the Congress and UML have reached the threshold, initiatives are being taken to start the amendment effort. He said that clear points of the constitution amendment have not yet emerged. He said that it is difficult to pass the ordinances brought by the government in the National Assembly.
MP Panta said that debate and discussion on the constitution amendment is necessary.
