Feb 15, Kathmandu- Hotel City Palace, which is operating in Nepalgunj, has invested over one billion rupees in expanding its services. The service has been expanded targeting Nepali and Indian guests, informed operator Lokendra Aryal.
The hotel has expanded its services with a new building, including a well-equipped conference hall. Operator Aryal said, "We have tried to provide more services to the guests by expanding the hotel's services even during the economic downturn."
Hotel City Palace, which opened in Ashar in 2072 BS, has provided hospitality to 500,000 people, including 300,000 Nepalis and 200,000 from SAARC countries, in the 9 years since it was opened. About 125 people have received direct employment opportunities.
The hotel has 95 rooms including suites, super deluxe rooms, deluxe rooms, and standard rooms. There are 8 halls for weddings, conferences, and seminars. The hotel offers various services including swimming pool, steam room, sauna, spa, souvenir shop, and casino for non-Nepalese, said the operator Aryal.
Service recipients say that since City Palace is located in Dhamboji, the center of Nepalgunj, it is also convenient for sightseeing. In the past, Indian pilgrims used to travel via the Nepalgunj route for Mansarovar Yatra, but the star hotels here have been affected since it was closed for the last few years, the operator said.
