8th Indian Ocean Conference Begins Today

Feb 16, Kathmandu- The 8th Indian Ocean Conference is starting today in Muscat, the capital of Oman. Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba has reached Muscat to participate in the program. She was welcomed by her Indian counterpart Dr. S. Jaishankar and Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

On the invitation of Rana Busaidi, she left for that last Friday. During the visit, Minister Rana is scheduled to address a session on 'raising the voice of the southern part of the world'.

Rana will hold bilateral meetings with Oman's Foreign Minister and Minister of Energy and Minerals. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that some agreements will be signed in the areas of mutual cooperation.
