Feb 17, Kathmandu- Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, who was injured in a balloon explosion during the Pokhara Visit Year, has returned home from Kirtipur Hospital. Poudel, who was undergoing treatment in the hospital for two days, was discharged today.
The hospital also stated that the health condition of Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya is improving and he will be kept in the hospital for a few more days.
“The burn wounds of both of them are healing and there does not appear to be any adverse effects on the lungs. For this reason, it has been decided to discharge Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel from the hospital today,” said a press release issued by Kirtipur Hospital. “Mayor Dhanraj Acharya has a pre-existing problem of high blood pressure and is being consulted with a cardiologist, so it is informed that he will undergo further treatment for a few more days.”
The hospital also stated that meetings with Mayor Acharya have been suspended to reduce the risk of infection.
