Man Discovered Dead In Hanuman Dhoka Beaten To Death, 2 Accused Arrested

Feb 20, Kathmandu- Police have taken two people into custody and started an investigation into the case of a young man found dead in front of the small Pashupatinath Temple in Hanuman Dhoka.

A 31-year-old man with the name Sujan Shakya written on his hand was found dead today. Sagar Mahatara of Jhapa and Santosh Shankar of Ramechhap have been arrested in the incident.

Spokesperson and Superintendent of Police of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Apil Raj Bohara, informed Thakhabar that two people have been arrested on charges of involvement in the incident after the investigation revealed that he died due to assault and beating.

He said that injuries were also seen on the body of the deceased. The person was identified from CCTV footage.
