CAN To Distribute Scholarships Worth Rs. 21.3 Million

Feb 21, Kathmandu- Computer Association Nepal (CAN) Federation has opened the application for 'National ICT Scholarship-2081'.

49 students will receive scholarships worth a total of Rs 21.31 crore, informed CAN General Secretary Chandra Vilas Bhurtel.

CAN has stated that one girl student from each province will be awarded a full scholarship and 42 others will be awarded partial scholarships.

28 girl students, four from each province, will receive scholarships under the Female Merit ICT Scholarship, and 21 students, three from each province, will receive scholarships under the ICT Merit Scholarship.

CAN has stated that students who have passed Plus Two or its equivalent from an educational institution recognized by the Government of Nepal and have scored at least 50 percent marks in Mathematics in Grade 10 can apply for the scholarship.

Applications can be submitted until February 25, 2081. CAN states that a copy of the marksheet of Grades 10 and 12, a photograph, citizenship or birth certificate, and a recommendation letter from the local government should be attached along with the application form.

CAN Federation has brought this scholarship with the Lord Buddha Education Foundation in Maitidevi. The scholarship program was formally inaugurated by Minister for Information and Communication Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung.
