Feb 23, Kathmandu- The social network Facebook is now going to delete live videos after 30 days.
American tech company Meta's social network Facebook is going to delete old live videos from February 19.
With the implementation of the new policy, users will have to save their live video or convert it to a reel to save it.
According to the company's new policy, previous live video users will have the option to save those videos.
The company will provide a notification or information to users before deleting old live videos.
Accordingly, users will have the option to download old live videos for up to 90 days, save them to their other cloud storage, or convert them to Reels.
Meta says most views on live videos come in the first week.
The company said the decision was made to provide a better live video experience for all users and to ensure a storage policy that is in line with industry standards.
Twitter (X), Facebook's live rival, stores live video for up to 60 days.
YouTube, on the other hand, allows live videos to be stored indefinitely, just like regular videos.
