Comedian Sajan Shrestha Threatened, Complaint Filed With Cyber ​​Bureau

Feb 24, Kathmandu- Comedian Sajan Shrestha has filed a complaint with the Cyber ​​Bureau of the Nepal Police after he and his family received threats on social media.

He has mentioned in the complaint that his sisters have also received threats of rape.

According to Shrestha, he had uploaded a video on his Facebook page on Falgun 4. 1 day after that, a Facebook profile named Ridaya Tamrakar kept her family photos and threatened her family and threatened to rape her sisters.

He wrote in the complaint, ‘Since this act made me and my family feel unsafe, it is a crime under the laws of Nepal under Section 47 of the Criminal Code and Electronic Transactions Act, so the user of that ID should be identified and the person should be taken to the strictest possible action....’

Along with the application, Shrestha has also submitted a screenshot of the person’s post and comment to the bureau.

Last week, a complaint was filed with the Kathmandu Police Complex against Sajan, along with comedians Utsav Sapkota and Sujan Zimba, and podcaster Sushant Pradhan, for allegedly harassing singer Kuma Sagar.

Sajan has already issued a video message and apologized for the incident. However, he is still receiving threats.
