Feb 24, Kathmandu- Nepali Congress MP Ram Hari Khatiwada has demanded that the issue of National Independent Party MP Dr. Swarnim Wagle paying tribute to the family of Prakriti Lamsal be removed from the record. He made the demand in the House of Representatives meeting on Monday.

‘On 6 Falgun, the Honorable Swarnim Wagle should have recorded in the Parliament that he paid tribute to the family of Prakriti Lamsal in the accident that occurred in India. This word should be removed from the Parliament record,’ he said.

Immediately, Speaker Ghimire said that attention had been drawn to this and directed the Secretariat to understand the matter and correct it if it had happened.

During the special session of the House of Representatives meeting on 6 Falgun, Dr. Swarnim Wagle had paid tribute to the family of Prakriti Lamsal, a student studying at the Kalinga Institute for Industrial Technology in Odisha, India. ‘Yesterday, a very tragic incident took place at the Kalinga Institute for Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha. "Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal has passed away untimely. On behalf of myself and our party, we have expressed our heartfelt condolences to the family", Wagle had said.
