Fire Breaks Out During While Drilling For Water In Tikathali

Mar 04, Kathmandu- While drilling for water in Tikathali, Lalitpur, a fire has broken out. The fire broke out from the place where the boring pipe was buried. Locals are trying to extinguish the fire by spraying mud and water. But the fire has not been extinguished. The boring work has been stopped because the fire has not been extinguished.

Lalitpur Police Range Spokesperson Narahari Regmi said that there was information that gas was released and a fire broke out during the boring. However, he said that the details of the incident have not been released yet. “A senior team is being sent there to investigate,” Regmi said. According to a local, the fire broke out after digging about 900 feet.

However, the cause of this is yet to be scientifically confirmed. It is believed that the fire broke out due to underground gas. A team from the Lalitpur Metropolitan City and a police team have reached the spot, informed SP Narahari Regmi, spokesperson of the Lalitpur Police Range.
