Mar 04, Kathmandu- CPN (UML) Bagmati Province in-charge Dr. Rajan Bhattarai has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Nepal is likely to happen as soon as possible. Speaking to journalist Rishi Dhamala on Nepali Radio Network's Nepali Debate today (Tuesday), he said that the Nepali Prime Minister's visit to India or the Indian Prime Minister Modi's visit to Nepal will happen as soon as possible.
He said that Nepal and India are friendly and interdependent countries and claimed that the relations are very good. He also said that it is very important to conduct high-level visits and take forward high-level dialogues to continuously improve this. While India has not yet invited Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to visit, he claimed that now the Indian Prime Minister himself may visit Nepal. He said, "The Nepali Prime Minister may visit India or the Indian Prime Minister may visit Nepal as soon as possible. I think one of these two things will work."
He also said that he had informed about the visit to India earlier based on what the Prime Minister himself had said. "I had said that since the Prime Minister himself had said that the Prime Minister would visit India, we would also be able to do so. This is a matter that needs to be resolved bilaterally. It has not been resolved. Since it has not been resolved, and since I am not currently in any government body, I cannot say that it will happen," he said.
