Tow More Indians Hanged In UAE, 26 More In Line After The Princess

Mar 07, Kathmandu- Two more Indian nationals have been executed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Both were residents of Kerala in India.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement on March 5 saying that Mohammed Rinash and Muralitharan PV were sentenced to death. Rinash was convicted of murdering a UAE national and Muralitharan of Indian nationality.

Earlier, on February 15, an Indian woman, Shahzadi Khan, was executed in the UAE for the murder of a child.

India's Ministry of External Affairs has said that the Indian Embassy in the Emirates has made all efforts to save both Rinaash and Muraleedharan, but it was not possible.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs told Parliament on February 13 that more than 50 Indian nationals sentenced to death are in prisons in various countries.

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE) alone, 26 Indians sentenced to death are in various prisons. The Indian government has claimed that all possible legal assistance is being provided to all citizens.

This includes Yemeni nurse Nimisha Priya, who has been sentenced to death in a murder case. After the execution of three Indian nationals, including Shahzadi Khan, in the UAE, the question is being raised as to what will happen to the remaining 26 Indians.

In addition, 12 Indian nationals have been sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia and 3 in Kuwait. They are currently in prison.
