Talks Between The US And Ukraine To Resume

Mar 07, Kathmandu- There will be talks between the US and Ukraine again. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that talks with the US will take place in Saudi Arabia next week.

“Ukrainian and American teams have resumed work. We hope to have a meaningful meeting next week,” Zelensky wrote on X. He said that Ukraine is working to achieve a lasting peace as soon as possible and that further talks will be held. Zelensky expressed hope that the upcoming talks will be important.

US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff has said that the US team wants to discuss a roadmap for peace to end the Russia-Ukraine war, international media reported.

Earlier, Zelensky and Trump had a heated exchange at the White House last Friday. In which Trump accused Zelensky of trying to cause the third world war.

After the heated discussion between the heads of state of the two countries, the US has also stopped military aid to Ukraine. Expressing regret over the incident, Zelensky said that he is trying to improve relations with the US, the country's largest military supplier.
