Mar 07, Kathmandu- Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that the work of reconstruction of private houses has started in the earthquake-affected areas.

Inaugurating the District Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project Implementation Unit Office in Bajhang, he said that the office has been established to carry out reconstruction in the earthquake-affected districts.

"Along with the reconstruction of private houses, the implementation unit will coordinate the reconstruction of government buildings. The local level has an important role in the reconstruction of private houses and the sooner the beneficiaries are identified and selected and recommended, the sooner the reconstruction work can begin," he said.

He also said that the cooperation of all parties is required in development.
