Mar 08, Kathmandu- At least 12 people were killed in overnight Russian airstrikes in eastern Ukraine as of Saturday morning, the country’s emergency services said. The incident came days before talks in Saudi Arabia between U.S. and Ukrainian negotiators on a ceasefire.
The Russian airstrikes on the center of Dobropilia in Ukraine’s Donetsk region on Friday night killed 11 people and wounded 30, emergency services said.
The military chief of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Sinegubov, said one person was killed and seven others were wounded in a drone strike in the town of Bogodukhiv early Saturday.
The overnight airstrikes came as U.S. President Donald Trump threatened new sanctions and tariffs on Russia.
