Mar 09, Kathmandu- Former King Gyanendra Shah, who returned to Kathmandu after a stay in Pokhara, was welcomed by his supporters at the Tribhuvan International Airport with slogans. Tension had arisen at the airport premises after supporters protested and shouted slogans against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Former King Shah arrived in Kathmandu from Pokhara on Sunday afternoon via a chartered flight. RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden, RPP Nepal leader Kamal Thapa and his supporters had reached the airport to welcome him. As the slogans against the Prime Minister intensified, there was a scuffle between security personnel and supporters for some time. A large number of security personnel have been deployed from the airport to Nirmal Niwas to control the situation.
