Mar 10, Kathmandu- The date for the ninth edition of the 'Pokhara Sports Awards 2081', organized by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Gandaki, has been set.

Forum Chairman Man Bahadur Gharti (MB Astha) informed that the forum meeting decided to hold the Pokhara Sports Awards program on Saturday, Baisakh 20, 2082 BS, on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day. He said that preparations for the awards program have begun with the announcement of the date.

To add energy to the players and those active in the sports sector, Manch Gandaki has been organizing the Pokhara Sports Awards every year since 2072 BS.

Chairman Gharti said that awards will be given to the Male Player of the Year, Female Player of the Year, Best Coach of the Year, Emerging Player of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Best Sports Organization or Club of the Year and Best Sports Journalist of the Year through the award program.

The meeting has also nominated the advisors of the forum. These include Ramkrishna Gyawali, Dinanath Baral and Suraj Shrestha. Advocate Manoj Gharti Magar has been nominated as the legal advisor of the forum.
