Mar 10, Kathmandu- Family Planning Association of Nepal Chairman Suprabhat Bhandari has said that it will not be acceptable if an education bill is brought that is detrimental to students.
Addressing the 16th National Convention of the Private and Residential Schools Association of Nepal (PABSON), President Bhandari has warned that if any education bill is brought that is detrimental to students, it will be burned. "Let's not leave out private schools in the new education act. Let's not leave out parents. But everyone's one desire is that it should be student-friendly," he said.
Today, what is the policy of banning private schools on one hand and sending students abroad on the other? He also expressed his sadness, saying that such dishonest policies will not run the country.
Chairperson Bhandari also said that the national education policy should not be changeable to lead the country towards sustainable education. He said, "Policy is changeable. But, how many years will it be changed? It should not be said that the policy will change month after month, year after year, after minister changes, after secretary changes, after joint secretary and director changes".
He added, ‘We have done things to bring foreign students. Students do not want to stay in the country. This has become our shame. What we all want here may not come there, but the important thing should not be left out.’
