Mar 10, Kathmandu- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged non-governmental organizations to embark on the path of self-reliance without relying on external grants.
Inaugurating the 11th General Assembly and Citizens' Conference of the Federation of Nepalese NGOs on Monday, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that even though it is impossible to do everything alone in the context of globalization, production and productivity should be increased by utilizing the fertile Nepali land.
Prime Minister Oli suggested that social organizations should discuss successes, hopes, and achievements, not just failures, and made it clear that no obstacles would be allowed to be created in development efforts.
Targeting the pro-monarchy event on Sunday, he said, "We are not in a precarious position to have a picture of a foreigner if we have to take out a rally. We do not have time to engage in undemocratic, anti-systemic, and unconstitutional things. We are on the journey of a prosperous Nepal with the idea of taking one step forward every day."
