Rupandehi Court Grants Rabi Lamichhane Another Date In Baisakh

Mar 10, Kathmandu- The Rupandehi District Court has given another date to Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane on the 23 of Baisakh.

Former Home Minister Lamichhane, who was released on a bail of 10 million rupees after a closed hearing in the Supreme Cooperative fraud case of Butbal, had reached the Rupandehi District Court today to understand the first date.

Court Shrestedar Yagyamurthy Gyawali informed that the next date has been given on 23 Baisakh. He also said that the date of Rabi has been fixed on Monday and he was present in the court to understand the same date.

The District Government Attorney's Office had registered a supplementary case against 22 people, including Lamichhane, in the Supreme Cooperative fraud and organized crime case at the Rupandehi District Court on 13 Magh.

In that case, the bench of Rupandehi District Court Judge Pralhad Kumar Yogi had ordered to release Lamichhane on a bail of Rs 10 million on the basis of the evidence received immediately, saying that there was no reasonable basis to believe that he had committed any crime.

Lamichhane has filed an appeal against the district court's order in the Tulsipur High Court, Butwal bench today. He has demanded a regular date.

The government attorney's office has already filed an appeal against the order to release Lamichhane on a bail of Rs 10 million.
