900 Billion Remittances In 7 Months

Mar 10, Kathmandu- Remittance inflow increased by 7.3 percent to Rs 958 billion. In the same period of the previous year, remittance inflow increased by 18.8 percent. According to Nepal Rastra Bank, remittance inflow in US dollars increased by 5.3 percent to Rs 665 billion. In the previous year, such inflow increased by 16.4 percent. During the review period, net secondary income (cash transfer) reached Rs 985.17 billion. Such income was Rs 910.77 billion in the same period of the previous year.

Similarly, the number of Nepalese who have obtained final work permits (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment is 274,622 and the number of those who have obtained re-work permits is 190,886. In the same period of the previous year, such numbers were 245,432 and 157,445, respectively.
